We will get introduced in our free 15 minute discovery call, click here to schedule.
The All Voices teammate will discuss your concerns, struggles and areas that you think you would use some help and/or support. We will talk about our approach, our pricing tiers and answer your questions.
By the end of the call, we will determine if we think starting to work together could be helpful. We will then send you some intake paperwork so we can have a more complete view of areas not covered in the discovery call.
In our first session, we will spend 60 minute together where we will discuss in more detail your/family medical history, social history, food and body concerns, and overall goals. We will determine when on going session schedules would take place.
In returning sessions, we will dive further into specific topics that are important to unpack in the understanding of your relationship with food, weight, body, identity and societal pressures. There could be short assignments, thought experiments or other ‘safe-adventure’ challenges for you to work on during the days in between our sessions.

For new clients, we have found it most beneficial that we meet every week for at least three months. Session durations are typically 60min for an initial and 45min for follow on care. This three month period is a very important time frame when the client and counselor are getting to know each other and what therapeutic approaches will be most beneficial in achieving the clients goals. If this schedule is not feasible for you, let talk about it and figure out another option that is more manageable to ensure you are getting the care you require.
There are no rigid rules for the amount of therapeutic support at All Voices - we recognize that we are all unique and will benefit from a variety of care options. We do know that having our sessions on the same day of the week and time of the day, in a recurring fashion is helpful to create the accountability structure and reduces the confusion of scheduling every week.
For existing clients, we are constantly discussing both the duration and frequency of our sessions to ensure they are getting the support they need while also being able to live their lives. Our existing clients are given first access to the same time slot in the following week as we have found a standard day of the week and time of day to be helpful when planning our time together.

Recovery is possible and this journey is often takes a winding path. There will be aspects that might be harder for some while easier for others; but there is always hope and recovery is possible and worth it.
Everyone’s journey to starting this work is nuanced and therefore the path towards healing will also be different. That being said, some clients have shared that they found some relief from their stressors/ anxieties after working with an All Voices teammate within a couple months.
On the other hand, other clients could benefit from ongoing support for years as new and unforeseen challenges can often present themselves on this journey. -
A Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD or RDN) is a health care professional that has been licensed and credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). To be licensed, an RD/RDN must have at least-
1. a Masters levels degree related to the area of practice (I have an MBA as I am an entrepreneur)
2. a Bachelors degree in Nutritional Science (I have both a BS in Nutritional Sciences and BS in Food Science)
3. have completed 1200 hours of supervised practice aka ‘a dietetic internship’
4. passed the board registration exam
5. abide by a strict code of ethics and scope of practice
6. and complete regular continuing education as approved by CDRA nutritionist is an unregulated term and therefore anyone can call themselves a nutritionist. A nutritionist might have completed a weekend-long online course or read fitness articles online or try to tell you ‘what worked for them will work for you too’ or use unregulated psuedo-marketing science, or could have a PhD in Nutrition from 1990.
The bottom line is that there are no requirements (educational, continued learning, experience based or ethical) that a ‘nutritionist’ is required to abide by and sometimes they can unknowingly do harm to those they work with given their inexperience or lack of educational rigor.
Having a provider with the RD/RDN credential ensures you are getting care from a person that has been appropriated educated and seeks out continuous education to provide you with the most recent and applicable science and will not provide you with services that are not proven to be effective for your situation or are out-of-scope for an RDN.

The short answer is yes, the longer answer yes, most of the time!
This topic has been greatly debated and researched given the current state of the world we are experiencing.
At All Voices we have seen many clients feel more comfortable in their own space, increasing access to care and accountability as well as a reduced requests to reschedule or no-show/drop out rates.
That being said, All Voices also acknowledges that not everyone has the privilege and access to a private or safe space that they can speak openly about these tough topics. This is why All Voices is now able to re-open limited, case-by-case spots for in-person sessions. Just another one of the ways All Voices is working to create this space for us ALL and expand access to care.
Clients shared that ‘virtual care is just as effective as in-person care’ and more outcomes can be found in research conducted during COVID-19 for those utilizing virtual care for eating disorder treatment - click here to view research by Raykos et al ‘Positive Outcomes from Integrating Telehealth into Routine Clinical Practice for Eating Disorders during COVID-19. The International Journal of Eating Disorders.’
Some additional outcomes from research completed evaluating virtual care within the population suffering from eating disorders or disordered eating. This research states these positive self-reported outcomes*-
100% felt connected to therapists and peer group members
97% feel treatment has increased their chances of improving their health
98% agreed that professionals created a recovery focused environment in the virtual space
